We are excited to have Helena Vlahos back and this time with a Master percussionist is known as a ‘King of the Drum’ or “Mr. Magic Fingers”- Issam Houshan.
 
For dancers and students who have not had the opportunity to learn from genuine and master artists now is your opportunity LIVE online Zoom while keeping you inspired by the personal learning experience and artist development education.

**Topic**
“Understanding how to dance to Middle Eastern Rhythms with Issam & Helena”
 
**Description**
Middle Eastern melodies are known for drawing us out of our seats to dance. Issam will teach why the structure of these rhythms are important to Middle Eastern music and calls us to dance. Understanding Middle Eastern rhythms allow dancers to move from emotion and connect with the music. Helena will show you various ways to follow each rhythm using different shimmies, Hip articulations, upper & lower body undulations, and much more to create your own drum solo. Practice short combinations that accentuate the music and give dancers a feel for the rhythms. Ideal for both improvisational and choreographed dancing.
